Idea of Paid Links for SEO

Everyone’s looking for the perfect link building plan for promoting a website. A common perception is that text links work like vehicles that drive the traffic from search engines for your website. This thought is backed by the fact that the number of quality back links to web pages determines page relevancy and ranking. There are many options for improving back links but it should be ethical otherwise Google can penalize the site.

Many users think that paid links are an easy way to gain back links. What they forget is that Google has been very clear about paid links. It doesn’t like paid links. Even Google has an official form that enables webmasters to report paid links.

According to Google, “Buying or selling links that pass PageRank is in violation of Google’s webmaster guidelines and can negatively impact a site’s ranking in search results.”

Second point is that paid links use no-follow attributes. It happens despite Google suggesting that you use the rel=”nofollow” attribute to tell the search engines that the link is not for rankings but for straight clicks on the site.

It can be safely presumed that paid links are meant only and only for straights clicks and not for enhancing the ranking. Then why invest in purchasing links for gaining back links to the website? Remember, the fear of that deadly penalty imposed by Google will always hover around and you never gain any profit in PR. If you want advertisements of your site, then it is a good way out. It is because paid links give quality traffic for your site.

So before making any final decision, check the link which you are going to take. Its relevance to your site has to be scanned with a hawk eye. If it is not relevant then it would be of no use to take that link.
