Time Management
People moving in a hurry across the busy city bylanes in confusion about reaching their destinations on time, executives running to- & -fro to make last minute additions to their work related presentations, students trying to submit their assignments on time…. Sounds familiar? All of us experience such situations in our life. These situations are the outcome of ineffective time management on part of people in their day-to-day life.Time Management is a practice that enables people to manage their tasks on time & improve quality of their life. Time management is very essential now days as the workload is increasing & people are unable to maintain their work life balance. People who manage their time effectively are the highest achievers in all walks of life. It enables an individual to perform well even under intense pressure. You will be eased of the unnecessary stress & would be able to take control of your work load once you master these skills.
Many people spend their day in a no. of activities but achieve very little because they don’t concentrate on the things that matter the most. It is important to prioritize assignments that matter the most. Plan your activities, break activities into smaller chunks & perform them one by one. You can also create a “To Do” list & can prepare a daily/weekly chart.
It is also important to use your free time wisely. Relax & re-energize yourself. Take a tea/coffee break ……but don’t forget to return to the task on hand. Improving your time management skills can even help you get better results.
It’s better to “Take care of the minutes and the hours will take care of themselves”.
