The Challenge

REPL is in the professional practice of urban planning, architecture and civic infrastructural planning with office in multiple locations.

The projects normally run over many year and many departments and offices work on the same project. There was no mechanism to control the files, maintain the versioning and most importantly protect the data and documents from accidental or intentional deletion. Progress reporting on various document and designs were not adequate.

The Solution

IDS Logic developed a web based document management system which allows users from various locations to upload their files, manage different versions. A central in house server was instituted where all the documents and designs were stored securely. Daily Data backup mechanisms were defined using multiple tap backups.

System implements different level of users and permissions and a work flow was defined for document deletion process which involves approval process. Alerts mechanism was defined for monitoring purposes.
