Business Overview

ICA (International Curriculum Association) is a global education organization supporting international schools with world-class curriculum, professional development, and accreditation services. Their digital ecosystem spans three major platforms:

  • A public-facing corporate website
  • A subscription-based curriculum portal
  • A third-party LMS for educator training

Over the past two years, ICA has partnered closely with IDS Logic to modernize its digital infrastructure and create a connected, scalable, and future-ready ecosystem. This collaboration has focused on integrating these platforms to ensure a seamless experience for users and administrators, reduce operational friction, and support ICA’s broader strategic goals.

This case study marks another major milestone in this multi-year program: the full migration of the ICA corporate website from Laravel to WordPress. The transformation establishes a strong foundation for deep Salesforce integration, unified portal workflows, and long-term digital evolution. By building on the lessons and infrastructure from the portal project, IDS Logic ensured continuity and synergy across ICA’s digital estate.

The Challenge

  • ICA’s existing corporate website was built on the Laravel framework. While functional, it created several operational challenges
    • Daily content updates required developer intervention
    • Limited CMS flexibility for marketing and content teams
    • Page creation was slow, expensive, and rigid
    • Lead forms were not reliably connected to Salesforce
    • No unified data flow existed between the website and portal
    • Enhancements or redesigns incurred significant costs
    • Publishing delays reduced marketing agility
    • ICA engaged IDS Logic with clear objectives:
    • Provide full editorial and operational control
    • Ensure reliable Salesforce integration for inquiry forms
    • Connect the website to the ICA portal environment
    • Reduce long-term maintenance costs
    • Enable faster marketing execution without technical bottlenecks
    • Support the broader digital roadmap, including onboarding automation

This initiative represented Phase 2 of ICA’s wider digital transformation program.

Solutions Delivered

IDS Logic completely reconstructed ICA’s Laravel website on a modern WordPress + Elementor architecture, strategically aligned with the portal’s flexible content strategy./strong>

  • WordPress Migration & Rebuild: All templates, components, and page layouts were rebuilt within WordPress. A modular, block-based system consistent with the ICA portal was implemented, giving ICA’s internal team and marketing agency full CMS control. Flexible page templates were introduced to support future scalability. Multi-language capability was added for Chinese, Dutch, and Spanish audiences. A unified editorial experience across the website and portal was enabled via Single Sign-On (SSO), replacing legacy code with a manageable and cost-efficient platform.
  • Enhanced Salesforce Integration: Relevant lead forms were directly connected to Salesforce with accurate field mapping to ensure data consistency. Legacy issues from the Laravel setup were resolved. The integration also established the foundation for automated journeys such as trial account creation, Prospect-to-Salesforce-to-Portal onboarding, and real-time updates for renewals and invoicing.
  • Website-Portal Integration & Single Sign-On: TSSO was implemented so ICA administrators can securely access both systems with a single login. WordPress was aligned with the portal infrastructure, and the website news section was connected to the portal’s content hub. Content can now be published and surfaced across systems, significantly reducing administrative overhead.
  • Marketing Flexibility & Editorial Control: The new WordPress environment introduced flexible content blocks, reusable Elementor components, customizable CTAs, adjustable navigation, and drag-and-drop page creation. ICA’s marketing agency can now launch campaigns and updates independently, dramatically improving speed and agility.
  • Performance, Compliance & Governance: The WordPress environment was integrated with the Azure-based portal through a secure SSO framework. Security and access management were strengthened through two-factor authentication and unified user validation. The platform was structured to support ICA’s ongoing retainer model and future roadmap phases, including onboarding automation and advanced engagement journeys.
